Reparations Are Due Pledge for Organizations

Does your organization want to support the pledge? If so, please fill out the form below. (You can read more about the Reparations Are Due campaign here.)

We appreciate all of the organizations that have endorsed the pledge – 40 and counting – see a complete list below.

Organizational Pledge

  • My organization knows that Reparations Are Due to all Black people in the United States through federal, state, and local action.
  • My organization stands with the Community Reparations Commission and have faith in their leadership and vision for our local Asheville and Buncombe County Reparations process.
  • My organization will encourage local elected representatives to take action, once the Recommendations of the Community Reparations Commission are finalized.

If your organization endorses this work and wants to support this campaign, here are 3 ways to do so:

  • Send an email / Share on social media (both internally within your organization and externally to those who follow or support your work)
  • Reach out directly to leaders of other organizations and invite them to sign the organizational pledge
  • Plan an informational event at your organization (we’re here to support you)
  • Incorporate the Reparations Are Due Campaign and Pledge into your organization’s ongoing work

You can read more about each of these actions on the Sharing Guide page. If you have questions about the pledge or how to support it organizationally, please contact david@rjcavl.org.
